It’s kind of thrilling to see your own work in the company of what you might call canonical artists. Pictured is my etching Poster for an Imaginary Natural History Museum (2005) hanging alongside pieces by Romare Bearden, Tsukioka Yoshitoshi, Robert Rauschenberg, Victor Vasarely, Howard Finster and others at the Taubman Museum of Art in Roanoke, in an exhibit of prints from their permanent collection. The show was curated by the magnificent Caledonia Curry, aka Swoon.
